Dr. Janki Kapadia
She grew up in Toronto and moved to Simcoe at an early age. She graduated from Simcoe Composite school with highest academic achievement and then went on to graduate from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology. She completed her Doctor of Optometry from The University of Waterloo on the Dean's Honour list in June 2017.
During her time at university, she was an active member of the university's Sports Vision club, which focused on vision training for athletes and concussion patients. She did an ocular disease externship at the Veterans Hospital in Detroit, Michigan focusing on the management of glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disease and emergency care.
She is always looking to give back to underserved communities. During optometry school, she participated in an eyecare mission trip to rural India. In 2022 she spent 6 days in remote Northern Ontario performing eye examinations for children with the ICEE Project.
Dr. Kapadia completed her primary care externship here at NFEC. She is happy to be back in Norfolk County to provide vision care in her community. In her minimal spare time, she is enjoys landscape and nature photography... and you can find her portrait portfolio on this website!
She is currently accepting patients at all 3 locations.
